Finding Inspiration in Every Turn
The Maumee Film Festival celebrates the art of creativity, filmmaking and storytelling. It allows aspiring filmmakers the unique opportunity to see their work projected on a movie screen in the iconic and beautiful Maumee Indoor Theater. The festival also celebrates the city of Maumee, a peaceful community situated along the scenic Maumee River in Northwest Ohio.
Our Story
In its inaugural season, the Maumee Film Festival was envisioned as a space for local filmmakers to see their work on a real cinema screen, in a venue with friends and family and community members. In the years following, the festival has grown from a single day of screening local short films to showcasing independent filmmakers from all across North America as well as national releases, hosting networking events, panel discussions, and workshops.
The Maumee Film Festival is committed to supporting the growth of the film industry in our region and creating an opportunity for local businesses and filmmakers to connect and collaborate. The celebration of local art is at the heart of all that we do.
